Excellent food, cool atmosphere, and good service. The only issue is they are a bit understaffed at present, like everywhere. Oh, and apparently there is a bee problem if you sit outside. I assume that is just a seasonal issue.

We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us and we sat outside. Nice breeze and a wonderful view of the canal. They were a little short staff, but we did not notice and were not in a hurry. The waiter and owner took great care of us. We got the rueben sandwich (fabulous!!!!) And one of the salads with chicken on it (also fabulous). We shared our meals and it was a perfect combination. We were very full but not stuffed. Unfortunately we were too full to get one of the desserts... we will just have to go back! Well worth the stop.

Stopped here for a mid-week getaway from Toledo lunch. The atmosphere was quite nice. I like that many of the historical aspects of the building were either left intact or reproduced well.

The owner and our server were quite friendly, however our server could have checked back more often, but to be fair, she was the only server.

The food was quite good, and well presented. I had the Philly steak sandwich, which was good, but the portion was bit small. My dining partner had the cod and she loved it and the portion size too.

Prices were average to above average.

If the weather allows, I highly recommend dining outside on the patio. Wish we would have.

Don't forget to enjoy the shops and nature walks of Grand Rapids. Nice way to relax after a meal or work up an appetite.

We love eating their tasty entrées and sipping on our Bloody Marys out on the patio. Excellent food and Service and the view of the Maumee river is beautiful. Highly recommend this ambience to everyone visiting Grand Rapids Ohio
