Even though we were told they were short staffed, our service never missed a beat in this classy saloon. Our server, Jake, was always one step ahead of us, full of kind words, and used his genuine smile to make us feel welcome.
Wow! What a gem! We stopped here on our way back home after camping in Toledo. With 4 adults and 3 dogs fresh from the woods, we were looking for a low-key place to grab lunch. We thought this would be a little dive bar. Boy, we're we wrong. What we found was a laid back atmosphere and insanely friendly service. As a vegetarian, I didn't expect to have many options on the menu (that's par for the course when it comes to bar food). I had the most amazing grilled cheese, and there were several options for me to choose from. Everyone loved their food, and we loved the huge draft selection as well. This place has everything!
Definitely recommend this place. I ordered chicken wings with drunken onions and loved them. They were big pieces with a lot of meat on them. There was a waiting line but I got lucky and sat at the bar. You can order your drink and eat at the bar. The bar tender check-back was right on point. The manager also came out at a later point and asked how we were doing. I was given great service. I also want to mention the live entertainment. James Adkins was playing there and he was awesome. He interacted with the crowed and encouraged song request. So, next time he plays again, go check him out. You will have a good time.
This was our first time eating indoors.. we usually go and enjoy the deck. Great service , cozy and clean dining space. The local beer selection as A+. Check out the beer menu almost as big as the great food selection. We had the fish dinner at lunch with fresh coleslaw that was LARGE enough for the two of us to split.. Highly recommend !!! Forgot to mention the service was very friendly - hometown - great service. Might have to come back for late lunch before the deck opens this spring.
