When a two car family goes down to a zero car family within a matter of a couple weeks and the insurance company arranges for a tow truck that happens to be on the same night of wind chills and a first real snow- sitting downtown toledo for a few hours after work- in silence- calculating every set back you've had this year and wishing you hadn't worn kitten heels that day can be an emotional wait. and it was. BUT we finally got a call from a friendly dispatcher checking in and letting us know help was finally on the way. Her kind voice was warmer than the blanket I found in the back seat and I didn't care how long we've waited she just sounded nice, when I wasn't sounding very nice to myself. And when the tow truck driver Tim showed up he opened the cab and turned up the heat while he loaded our junker onto the flat bed, and it turns out he's a really nice guy and making small talk on the way home pulled me slowly out of a funk. I sat outside the Gardner building that night safely pulled over to the side of Madison St with a blown engine feeling sorry for my situation- and here Tim was lucky to be alive having had an accident that totaled his ride! He works long days seven days a week so you might get to meet him if you need a tow but if you have a chance ask for Tim, he's pretty cool.
When my car broke down, I scheduled a tow through my insurance. Ray's was incredible. Because of a multitude of other issues, due to no fault of myself or Rays, we ordered and subsequently cancelled two tows in a row. Still, after we ordered (and went through with) the third tow, Rays was happy to help. They went above and beyond to get my car to its destination, having to deal with all the speed bumps that came with it. They were amazing! Thank you guys!
