“I always make a point to visit this store if it exists in the city I'm visiting. Since it's a secondary market store, each one has a slightly different selection of collectible merch. This one, too, has some stuff not seen in my area. I found some horror figures I wanted. The employees are fun and polite and actually seem happy to be there. Price-wise, I find The Exchange to be high when it comes to come collectibles, even (and maybe especially) on things that are still available in the primary market (the stores). For example, if there's a Walmart, Target, or mall nearby, some Exchange employees have been known to go there, buy a collectible item, mark it up sometimes by double, and put it on a shelf that same day. That's a shady practice, in my opinion. I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT AT THIS LOCATION THOUGH. In general, The Exchange is also usually a bit above current price guide prices for collectibles. This isn't necessarily a complaint. They have to maintain a storefront and pay employees, which means business expenses. Just weigh your desire to support a local business with your desire to get the best price. In any event, I definitely recommend them, especially if you want an item in hand immediately and enjoy randomly finding cool things. 🙂”

“St. Patrick's Day Luck from an auto part store with an Irish name! How fitting! I had been visiting in Germantown and was headed back home to northern VA...on a very tight schedule. I woke up on March 17th to find a gray and rainy day. Loaded up the car to get an early start and realized the windshield wiper on the drivers side (of course) was just smearing water...unsafe and impossible to see. Not being from the area...I figured I would have to go into Miamisburg or further to find a place and that would install them for me. I pulled into a gas station on Route 4 and as I was pumping gas - I looked up and saw O'Reilly Auto Parts! What a coincidence!! It was just past 7:30 am so I figured they didn't open until 9 or 10 am. WRONG! They were ALREADY OPEN! So as I was finishing at the pump, I called and spoke to a very nice representative - sorry I did not get his name - and he said not only did they have what I needed in stock IT WAS FREE INSTALLATION ! He was even nice enough to have them on the counter waiting as I drove across the street. He came out, put the new wipers on my car and my entire delay from this issue was less than 10 minutes! HOW AMAZING IS THAT? Thank you so much for a perfect location, perfect hours and perfect service.”

The store is very clean and well organized. The store is handicap accessible and plenty of parking available. “I don't know if I qualify as an artist but I sure was struggling that sunday, when John helped me out. The day before I met John, I took my wife and my (4) kids on an outing. They had a blast. Kids jumping over straw bales, pie judging contest (free pie), apple bobbing, Jack Ford (a real artist - local musician) singing and playing his guitar. On our way back, the hood of my already beat up van slammed open and broke the windshield. I decided to fix it the next day (sunday), so I popped the guitar strings off of my daughter's classical guitar and headed to junk yard. It was a learning experience. The two strings I got almost got me through cutting the whole perimeter of glass when the last of the guitar string broke. I tried to pry the glass off, but it broke too. Here I was back where I started at 3pm on Sunday. I needed more guitar string. So I called and called till John answered to tell me his business hours were Mon- Friday. But he didn't hang up. So I asked if he was in the store and if he'd be willing to let me in if I got there within 30 minutes and he said yes! That saved my day, thanks John! Btw, they moved to 3800 lakeside ave.”
