“To me and my buddy's surprise, 1572 is a Renaissance Festival restaurant that is both accessible from inside the fairgrounds and from the "outside" via gravel road off of Route 73. It appears as just another "shop" within the fairgrounds, but you grab your grub and then go sit in a communal eating area that is close to a bar and small performing stage. The focus here though is the meats. All about the meats. I had the tri-tip and 4x rib combo with mac-and-cheese and sweet corn bread. All of it was really good, though the ribs could be a little more moist.”

“Chelsea needs to be recognized for what she did for me tonight. I was taking an uber from work to this Thortons and then home. My uber driver was making me feel unsafe and all around creeping me the hell out. I had told her that I was uncomfortable and she was really quick with her thinking and not only walked me outside (pretended like she knew me) but she turned on the front cameras for me to make sure that if she didn't hear from me when I got home that she had his information. I really feel like she's the kind of person everyone WISHES for in that situation. She made me feel so much safer just by acting quickly and putting everything they teach you to good use and I can't thank her enough for that. She could have brushed it off but she didnt and im super thankful for that. It will literally always be on my mind. Plus the store was very well stocked and clean and creepy driver aside I got my snacks lol”

“I found this restaurant to be a really good experience. You can't help but notice the beautiful rugged atmosphere of it but you can feel how well kept and clean that atmosphere is. The menu has a lot of great selections and I have to smile when I think of how rarely we hear somebody say " boy that was a great salad "...... But it was and I'm the one who said it. I like the fact that their portions are very substantial and you feel like you got more for your money in what you ordered. It is also a very varied menu with absolutely something for every pallet and appetite that walks in there. If you check out the menu carefully you'll find they also give you an opportunity to have a half portion of two different servings, for example a half a bowl of lobster bisque and half a salad in order to complete a full meal. It gives you a chance to check out the flavors of other things that they offer. They have a great French onion soup and I wasn't kidding when I said their house salad is absolutely delicious and loaded with many tasty and healthy bites. They also have a full bar, outdoor seating in the back which almost whisks you away to a really nice atmosphere where you have no choice but to relax and enjoy. In the winter they have a roaring fireplace, nice tall ceilings that give you the feeling of a luxurious lodge, and a wait staff that knows how to take care of its clientele. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, welcoming and delicious........ These are words that can easily apply to the Burntwood tavern.”

This past visit I had the Eggs, Hash Browns, Corned Beef Hash and Toast breakfast. Everything was served piping hot, which is one of the most important things about a meal served in a restaurant. This is only Mexican Restaurant I normally come on a regular basis. The food is always in a timely manner. It’s fresh and well displayed. The hot plate is sizzling when it’s on your table. Presentation is perfect. If you haven’t tried this place then there is no reason you shouldn’t. The prices are very reasonable and the quality and quantity you can’t complain.”

“It's been a long family tradition that we go get the $1.50 hotdogs every time we visit my grandparents. You don't actually have to have a membership to visit this area or buy food. The hotdog and pop for $1.50 is a great deal but they also have very large (maybe 16 inch?) pizza for about $10. They make them when you order them. If you don't want a whole pizza they also sell slices of pizza. Very tasty!”

They do have good tasting fountain soda. Good gas too, it's on the internet as the top twenty best brand of gas. Speedway gas has become mediocre and so has their fountain drinks.”
