“This particular Dollar general does not have very much to choose from, in the way of children's clothes. They DO have some socks and things like that for children and adults, but this is another one of those Dollar generals that was basically built more as a grocery store for a small town that doesn't have that option nearby. As far as essentials, they do have quite a bit. I will say they have a very large selection when it comes to snacks and things like that, so if you need to pick up some water, milk, and bread, and basically your essentials, then I would say that this is the place. It's a fast stop when you get off of work and it's relatively inexpensive compared to other places. Oh and a piece of advice ; when it comes to seasonal items, they don't hang on to those for too long. just as soon as they sat out the Autumn stuff, they were already cycling in some Christmas stuff. So in other words, if it is pool season, and you need a floaty for your child, then get it while they have it, because it will not be there for too long. That's just my general experience, with any of their locations. But I would say this is one of my favorite Dollar generals and the staff has been amazing to my daughter and I, every time that we go in there. Another great location would be the one in Williamsburg Ohio. Great staff there as well. And they have a very large children's clothing selection. But as far as the owensville location goes, hands down one of the best Dollar generals. Thanks, Tony”

The store is very clean and well organized. The store is handicap accessible and plenty of parking available. I was very happy with the tech guys and they were quite happy to see some high end equipment that I brought in to see about replacement parts.”

The dealership wanted over twice the amount I paid and had also advised me to get a wheel bearing replaced. That was checked and was told nothing wrong was found with the wheel. “I don't know if I qualify as an artist but I sure was struggling that sunday, when John helped me out. The day before I met John, I took my wife and my (4) kids on an outing. They had a blast. Kids jumping over straw bales, pie judging contest (free pie), apple bobbing, Jack Ford (a real artist - local musician) singing and playing his guitar. On our way back, the hood of my already beat up van slammed open and broke the windshield. I decided to fix it the next day (sunday), so I popped the guitar strings off of my daughter's classical guitar and headed to junk yard. It was a learning experience. The two strings I got almost got me through cutting the whole perimeter of glass when the last of the guitar string broke. I tried to pry the glass off, but it broke too. Here I was back where I started at 3pm on Sunday. I needed more guitar string. So I called and called till John answered to tell me his business hours were Mon- Friday. But he didn't hang up. So I asked if he was in the store and if he'd be willing to let me in if I got there within 30 minutes and he said yes! That saved my day, thanks John! Btw, they moved to 3800 lakeside ave.”
