“I learned to fly there 33 years ago and have been flying general aviation, experimental, and Ultra Lights ever since. It's a 2200 foot Runway about 50 ft wide asphalt and if you learn to fly there it's no challenge although people who learn to fly at larger airports are somewhat intimidated by this at first. Night Landings can be a challenge in a high-performance aircraft because of the trees on the North End of the runway and they need to come in kind of high so you have to plan accordingly. Since it's probably the cheapest place in Ohio to learn to fly there is a lot of Student Activity.”

“I live nearby this airport but the plane I rent is based elsewhere. Aviation sales has always been kind about letting me overnight so I can get an early start the next morning. I don't always buy fuel but they have been more than happy to give me a tie down at no charge. Pilots lounge is huge with nice bathrooms. Staff has always been very kind especially considering I'm not always buying fuel and I sometimes have young children in tow.”
