The insurance put up constant road blocks only trying to repair the roof because it was misidentified as a single layer when it actually had two. Ken helped me navigate and find the building codes to present to insurance that forced them to pay the replacement cost. The clean up after was perfect, nothing left behind. “We were there today, and from the staff that met us when we walked in the door... to the gentleman "Ron" that helped us get new bicycles this afternoon were abundantly friendly and helpful the entire time. He made sure we had everything we needed, was not pushy or attempting to oversell anything, and at the end of the day, made sure we had everything we came in for and left with a smile on our faces, which is harder and harder to do in with some retail experiences. “The Old Vermilion Jailhouse is completely unique and completely charming. We stayed overnight after dinner at Chez Francois. If you are a couple or a family of four, this would be a cool place to stay. While not a traditional B&B, hosts Markos and Marla provide a well-stocked mini-fridge, and they have a lot of supplies in the bathroom, including earplugs. The Jailhouse is right next to railroad tracks, but I didn't find it overly loud. Markos was great to work with and we can't wait to come back in warmer weather!”
