I’ve been going to Arlean for a year. From braids, to color, to crochet styles, to my natural hair, Arlean has always delivered excellent results. She is patient, professional and highly skilled. I highly recommend the Velvet Monkey Too and Arlean for the best experience and hairstyle.

Beth is literally the best; she gives me the perfect color and cut for my curly hair. I don’t trust anyone else to dye or cut my hair! Even when I was living out of state. Always have great conversations and I always learn something new from her about taking care of my hair.

Mavis took me in and took care of me exceptionally. Got my hair cut, washed and braided for a really good price.

My son got his hair done by Arlean Merritt she done a great job on his hair and told me a lot about taking care of his dreads better. I book another appointment with her 4 weeks from now for a detox wash n re twist and price was great and $75 total for a re twisted and style I saved 💲with her..

My cut was done by Melanie and my style was done by Arlene. Both equally as good people as they are stylist. They both had a sparkling clean workstation, and sanitized well. I look forward to seeing them both in about a month or so. :-) Arlene also gave great advice when it comes to taking care of my kinky hair! Thanks a bunch 😎
