Disciples First (First Christian Church)

They do some great work for the community. Very cool architecture. Would love to see them do more.

I cannot say enough good things about this church. They are some of the most welcoming people you will ever meet and go out of their way to provide a genuine spiritual experience. They aren't as concerned with filling seats as they are showing through their actions what Christianity is supposed to be about. This includes offering ministries to serve the poorest of the poor, the outcast and the rejected. You don't even have to be a follower of Christ to be a part of the worship experience and the congregation is made up of people from all walks of life be they recovering from a difficult past to the LGBTQ community. This is an accepting environment whose only creed is love all the people. Yes, that includes you.

Many many fond memories of my children growing up in the same church in which my mom and grandma grew up, my parents WERE married ...the Easter egg hunts/ ice cream socials...my grandma preparing Tuesday meals for meals- on-wheels program and her dedication to the Crisis Cupboard. the Jewelbox Theatre, etc...
I miss my grandma Helen Beaird and my mom Kay Meyers so so much, life will never be the same. I absolutely cherish the memories we made together in this church. Thank u for that. God bless you all.
