I was a member for 3 years as a single lady; Pastor Slayden officiated our wedding and then my husband and I were members for 3 more years; until our Lord called my husband back as a Pastor. We loved our time here and we love the people here. This body of Christ loves the Lord and this is a Bible based church; with a focus on missions, and community outreach. He & Carla live an example of faith and she always has a warm smile and a hug for you (1 Cor 7:17). Even now 4 years later; Pastor Slayden (if he possibly can) always shows up when we ask him. If he gives his word; he stands by it, and that is the best character reference for any man (1Peter 1:7). We loved being a part of the choir as the choir director & his wife are motivating and inspiring. I feel closest to our Lord when I am singing His praises (James 5:13). If you live in the area; or are in this area; I urge you to visit, and pray that our Lord will guide you here for a church home. We know this earthly life will pass away, and we look forward to being with Jesus in Heaven (Col. 3:2; 1 Cor. 2:9) . Are you looking upward and forward?
