“I'm not sure what changed this summer but I feel like the park staff finally got a good grip on handling the summer rafter traffic. For several years it's been an absolute cluster every time rafting season starts, but now during peak days they have two attendants letting in traffic to the park through the gates instead of just one like in years past. They also have security down at the park most of the time during th summer now which is hugely helpful. And instead of using their big old baseball field for absolutely nothing they're now using it as a parking lot during summer. I'm very happy with how they improved the park this summer!”

“We had a great experience buying a Christmas tree here. Christmas 2021) They had coloring pages, crafts, and two reindeer for the kids. Coffee/hot chocolate was available inside and out. Cut trees were clearly labeled and easy to access. They also netted them and would trim the bottom if asked. They even carried the tree to my car and helped me load it! (Very helpful since I had a toddler in tow) The parking lot can be a bit crowded. I got a chai tea and small hot chocolate at the coffee shop. Great service! Masks were worn indoors, but not required outdoors.”

There is a wide range of salty snacks, candies, chocolates, beverages, beers, wines, fridge foods, freezer foods, ice creams/popsicles, basic home goods that come in handy in a pinch. “Tickets were more expensive than I expected (adults can pay $5 for entry, or $20 for all-access), but we had a great time and got 3 solid hours of entertainment with our family. You can see farm animals close-up (turkeys, chicken, goats). There are tractor rides around the farm in covered trailers. There's an apple catapult competition. They sell beer/wine/coffee/sweets/snacks. There's a nice gift shop. There's a really big corn maze as well as a "blackout" maze that is completely dark and a lot of fun to do. Highly recommended!”

“We love Barton Campground! It's great for this single mom when I'm looking for a quick get away. It's not far out, it's close enough to town that I can run grab something if I need to, it's got a playground, flushing toilets and showers. It's not to isolated so I feel safe when it's just me and the little guy. And, the river is right there with lots of safe spots to play.”
