Happy Valley Montessori School

We love HVM! Both our small kids have attended and we find the small program size, rich learning environment, and engaged teachers to be fantastic.

Happy Valley Montessori is a beautiful small school that teaches toddlers through Kindergarten. I have one son who just graduated Kindergarten, a 4 yo who will continue to attend, and a younger child who will attend in the future. We love the small nurturing classroom size. We also love the new teacher Ms. Katie who has done a great job both working with the kids and communicating with the parents. Ms. Jamie, who also taught here, recently purchased the school from the original owners who have now retired. I am super excited to see what her energy and creativity will bring in this new roll.

The teachers do a great job sparking the children’s imaginations and giving them the tools and time needed to explore and develop their interests in a friendly safe environment. You won't find children fighting, running amuck, or acting disruptive here. You also won't find dominating impatient teachers punishing or shaming the children here. Any disciplinary actions are taken with love and understanding of the child's gentile mind and fragile emotions. What you will find is an amazing classroom full of children from a range of ages all working quietly either together or separately. The older kids teaching and helping the younger ones. All the blocks and "tools" put nicely away the way you wish they'd do at home.
