Wonderful welcoming church. Friendly people and Father Bill and the entire Parish office are true servant Leaders.
As a visitor, I always enjoy the masses and friendly people.
A wonderful community, and growing parish. Excellent hospitality, incredibly family-friendly, a parish for all ages. Modern welcoming and authentic. Father Bill is as real as it gets, homilies are available online after every Sunday.
The Music is thoughtful, intentional and very complementary to the celebration of the Eucharist. Community engagement including a parish picnic in the park every summer is a must go event.
Adult Faith formation center is as engaging as the growing school, families cannot wait until it has the full complement of first through eighth grades. Currently just preschool and pre-K. The teachers are out of this world incredibly great, compassionate & engaging.
This parish’s commitment to fine art is impeccable. It has one of six Michelangelo Pieta replicas in the world. The sanctuary is incredibly adorned with Some of the worlds largest and most impressive Modern original icons. The iconographer creates (called “writing the icon”) the icons on the floor of the parish sanctuary so all can enjoy the process of this ancient and delicate art as it is created.
Truly worth a visit if you are passing through Portland just off I-5 and 205 in Tualatin, OR
Beautiful church full of light and art. Michelangelo's Piazza replica adorns the entryway with several Beautiful pieces of art scattered around the parish.
Beautiful music throughout the ceremony from a live wire and pianist as well as some orchestra pieces. It's the traditional service.
The priest here is easy to listen to. The service has enough interesting elements to keep you engaged. My five-year-old has no problem sitting through the service but if you have young children there is a family room in the back that has a plexiglass divider with a Soundsystem inside. The church provides toys and books.
The church is self is very modern and was built in 2002. A short time later they built the preschool that's attached.
It's a beautiful place. if you're Catholic in the area give it a shot.
In what way did Christ offer himself to the Father?
The entire life of Christ was a free offering to the Father to carry out his plan of salvation. He gave “his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45) and in this way he reconciled all of humanity with God. His suffering and death showed how his humanity was the free and perfect instrument of that divine love which desires the salvation of all people.
