Tsuru Island

This is a lovely little Japanese style garden within a larger city park. I had never been here before and we went for an early father's day. It's beautiful. You can spend 5 minutes or a couple of hours just sitting and thinking. Parking is nearby. I will be going again.

When I was small my mom took us here before Tsuru Island was created. It is such a nice and needed space. We can benefit from more of this work.
The cameras provides to an overall safer experience.
The Island is the best micro retreat.
The story of the man who did it for us is a compassionate one.

Beautiful little spot to soak in the beautiful garden. Probably best to visit off hours since it is a small park with tight walkways. I visited in early spring so there were many nice blooms out

A really nice park, I wasn't able to go during the spring or summer, but even during the winter it is a fairly nice place. The workers there are always working to make sure that it is always nice and ready for whoever is there. They also really show interest to anyone who visits and makes sure that they are informed about what is there and notice some of the smaller cooler things on the island.

For what it was, as a free public space in the middle of a park, I thought it was a very special place to visit. It was a peaceful and quiet area to have a lunch, meditate or even simply walk through. I really enjoyed the garden with all the different variety of plants. There are plenty of areas where you can sit and just enjoy the sounds of nature. There are plenty of benches around. I would go back again.
