Recording eric was awesome! Painless and simple, he takes pride in his work and walks you through every little thing he’s thinking and doing to make sure that every detail comes out exactly how you envisioned! If you want your music done the right way, I’d definitely recommend him. I know we intend to go back for the next time for sure!
Flood Peak recorded 6 songs with Eric, and it was awesome. His mic placement, recommendations, and organizational abilities were very helpful to our process. Conchita, his dog (and recording assistant) made our breaks at his patio a great way to take breaks, unwind, and discuss next steps. The cost of his services is fair!
I'm currently recording more songs with him for a different project, and I'm sure the final product is something I'll be proud of. With this particular project, he's helping me do more than just recording. He's producing some songs, providing guideline, feedback, and even playing instruments with me.
Definitely recommend reaching out and discussing your recording needs.
What’s it like hanging out with a friend that encourages you and helps you do your best? It’s great! That is exactly how I felt working with Eric. He gently guides you and helps you along to get the best recording. He is patient and kind and has an ear for the music even when you don’t ....or are simply too tired to do one more take. Hands down... one of the easiest engineers to work with. Highly recommend!
Eric is the best. Hands down one of my favorite engineers in Portland.
