We stumbled across this place tonight and wow am I glad that we did! This was the first cart we saw and we tried to eat at the other cart but it was closing so we sort of settled for fish and chips to save getting back in the car. The man running the cart was awesome and could tell we weren't sure what we wanted at all and suggested the Hawaiian ahi fish and chips and we also got salmon after he told us about all the different options. THEY WERE BOTH AMAZING!! The ahi was exactly as he said melt in your mouth, out of this world! Plus the service was above and beyond fantastic. Even though he was the only one working he delivered our food to us. We will be back very soon! #Dfooddude #pdxfood #yum
Went on a Sunday at 730... rainy day and was craving fish and chips... this place is it!!! Holy moly, the man/lady running Halibuts is so friendly and laid-back.. they had our food ready so quick and it was amazing!! Definitely ordering a 4piece next time because the 2 piece leaves you wanting more! Not a bad thing at all! I😊🐟
We just ordered our first time at the new location. Okay I will say this first: If the fare passes my wife’s critique than we will dine again. We will order again from The Original Halibuts. The breading was light and tasty. We enjoyed it!
I cannot even imagine this guy being mean, so that other review seems very odd. And the chowder was the best we've had in Oregon! Thanks!
Best Alaskan Halibut fish and chips period. 4 piece halibut w coconut shrimp and couple sodas w tip will run $40. Worth it in my opinion. I am not a chowder fan but his chowder is damn good too.
And you don't have to drive to the beach!
