  If you're struggling with chronic pain, anxiety, or other tricky medical issues, I can't recommend Bridgetown Acupuncture highly enough. After years of hitting brick walls, Jenny at Bridgetown has helped me understand and manage my pain, without addictive medication and side effects.
  After graduating from the Northwest School of Natural Medicine early, Jenny studied alongside doctors administering acupuncture in emergency rooms in China. She then started her own business here in Portland.
  From my very first visit, Jenny was honest about how she could and could not help me with the complicated medical issues that I've been struggling with since I was 18. I remember her confidently stating on my first visit "We can do something about your bulging discs and sciatic pain. The stenosis I can't change, but we can manage the symptoms and bring your pain down. Getting your anxiety and depression managed and your sleep on track is going to help you manage your pain".
  She accomplished all of these goals a month and a half into our treatments. I noticed a marked improvement at three weeks. The pain flare I was experiencing when I went to see her had passed. I was able to get off of the anti-depressant medication that my doctor had pressured me into taking in hopes that it would have some effect on my pain.
  I have never worked with such a competent healer. If you feel stuck in your illness, mental, emotional, or physical, I urge you to give Bridgetown Acupuncture a try.

  I came in with a pounding sinus headache and a hearted fever and I left feeling like my body was already on the mend. I don't deal well with feeling sick AND i'm terrified of needles but Jenny was calming, kind, and attentive and made me feel right at ease. The treatment was targeted and knowing my uncomfortable feeling about needles she verbally walked me through each placement and I didn't even feel most of them. The space was clean, warm, and I got to pick my own music to relax too! This was a great personal touch since I hate "massage parlor" music and I feel that I was able to better embrace the treatment and relax my body and mind with these personal touches. Jenny made sure to explain everything with a personable manner and in laymans terms so I could understand why each point was chosen and what I could expect to feel. I left the treatment with an order for herbs that were delivered right to my doorstep (!) and in a with herbs and a a good nights rest I felt so much better, when this kind of sickness usually has me down for the count 3 to 4 days. I have returned a number of times for preventative treatments and each time I received the same level of focused, professional, attentive care.

  Quick, respectful and thorough. Really took the time to understand my needs and explain what she was doing. Would visit again in a hear beat.

  Don't hesitate to make an appt with Jenny, she is wonderful! So passionate about acupuncture and helping people to feel better. I highly recommend Bridgetown Acupuncture to anyone looking for a conscious and present acupuncturist who really takes the time to listen and get to the root of what's ailing you.
