“We were thinking about martial arts for our 8 year old boy for awhile and decided in January to visit a few places. The teacher, David, welcomed us in even though he was in the middle of teaching a class. He said our son could join the others on the mat if he wanted. After just 5 minutes he was so interested watching the class that he decided to go and participate. He loved the first lesson so much that we never checked out another place and enrolled that evening. He has gone twice a week since then (totally free for the first month!). Sensei David is patient and kind. He encourages every student from beginners to advanced. What impresses me the most is not only the teaching itself, of techniques and movements, but the respect, self-control, and discipline the children learn: respect of themselves, other students, and their teachers. We are extremely pleased to go to such a positive place. The other adults helping the younger students are also very helpful and patient.
