  As a special birthday gift for my husband, I booked a room for us at the Cashtown Inn. He loved it! He had a choice of 4 rooms(aptly named for the Civil War generals who used them as offices) or 3 suites. He chose a room where the general actually slept due to illness during the war. We also were hoping for dinner the evening we arrived but found out that the restaurant is only open certain evenings during the winter months. As disappointment set in, an email arrived from Jack, the owner, offering to provide dinner for us and a relative who lives nearby. After several emails to provide us with a list of entrees and sides and to verify our selections, five of us sat down to a wonderful dinner in the charming dining room, with a toasty fire adding to the rustic ambiance. After dinner Jack opened the Robert E. Lee suite for us to use for visiting with our guests. We enjoyed a delightful evening(with no ghost sightings) and our visit culminated with a tasty breakfast the next morning prior to checkout. We could not have asked for a more accommodating host. If you are looking for that one-of-a-kind get-away, and if you are a Civil War buff, this is the place you will want to stay!More

  My boyfriend and I made dinner reservations for a Saturday evening. We were so impressed with the Inn that this husband and wife run! They were so friendly and inviting. The husband cooks and the wife serves, both like to make good conversation and share stories about the historic Inn. The food and drinks were all wonderful and flavorful. I would say this was the best meal of our 6 day trip!

  I visited Cashtown Inn about a year ago with my boyfriend and friend . The owners , Jack and Maria, are so accommodating and treat you like family! We were the only people staying there that night. We were lucky to spend much 1 on 1 time with them . I’m also into ghosts and paranormal activity ... let’s just say it’s One of the best and scariest times I ever had in Gettysburg!! ????We will definitely visit again.

  An awesome place to stay!! What better place to stay than the Cashtown Inn thats so full of history?! The owners, Jack and Maria, do everything they can to make stay enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. You feel as though you have stepped back in time just as soon as you enter. A really nice place to stay, highly recommended!

  Had an amazing stay at the Cashtown Inn Memorial Day weekend 2018. Our room was clean, tidy, comfortable. Jack, the owner, was an awesome host, attending to every need or want, very personable, kind and considerate and a great story teller, even assisting in an impromptu wedding ceremony in the front parlor for me and my new wife. Breakfasts were fantastic, well presented and delicious. The Inn decor was beautiful, the tavern was excellent. We came in hopes of finding some ghostly experiences, however was not our luck that weekend. This was our first stay at the Inn, and we will most definitely return.
