  No view like the Duquesne Incline view...or the experience of an 1877 cable car. Worth the line/crowd for a unique few minutes.

  Tourist must go, and you will find the best PGH view on top of the hill.

  Very cool piece of Pittsburgh history and a pretty old cable car! There is a parking lot on the bottom and you can come up the stairs to the Main Street where you'll be greeted by the opening to the stairs and sky bridge that takes you to the ticket booth for the Duquesne Incline! You are told to pay in exact change, in cash... and then they hand you a handwritten ticket! It's $2.50 each way or $5 roundtrip per adult! We got lucky and there was no line when we got there but when we left there was a line to the top of the sky bridge. They go through the line fairly quickly though cause there's 2 cable cars and they take about 10-15 people each time. They are basically constantly running up and down so you just have to wait a few minutes for the next one.
  
  The cable car smells old but the details and ceiling on it are very intricate and pretty. You creak your way up the side of the mountain and the further you go, the better the view gets of Pittsburgh! You see the Steelers Stadium, all 5-6 bridges, the fountain at the park, etc. I'm not local so I can't name everything but it was a nice treat and makes for amazing photos! At the top, you can purchase souvenirs, look at the old photos of Pittsburgh, see the operator operating the two cable cars.. apparently there's some cool places up top you can walk to. Some nice restaurants with amazing money views of the city! I wish they had a map of everything up above.. we didn't see anything so took a few pictures and came back down within 30 mins or so. You line up on either side of the operator to catch the cable car available. The ride down is a different feel/experience.. always fun on a creaky old car! Feels like an old wooden rollercoaster.. oh the thrill! We enjoyed our ride and the views, just slightly underwhelmed and it was a quick trip/activity for $20 (for all of us).
