“I’ve been going here for about 7 years. The school has a strong emphasis on fitness, self-defense and learning about Chinese culture. Other than the lion dance team, we do not focus on performance or competitions. There are several styles, so I’d recommend trying each to find which style fits your fitness goals and interests. The culture of the school is of working hard, being a good training partner, and leaving your ego at the door. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. We take exercise and technique seriously but laugh and joke with each other while we do it. There are no contracts, uniforms, or belts. You pay for each class so there’s no unreasonable commitment for trying a few classes to see if you like it. I’d highly recommend the school and look forward to meeting new students.”
