This review is long overdue.
In the past I was quick to speak positively about other agents who gave me a beneficial impression out of the gate, but soon after didn’t live up to their promises. Frankly, I was in a vulnerable state while undertaking a huge change in my life. Witnessing the slightest act of competence by those I'd given my trust to as a big deal and not just as a part of what they were supposed to do for me when acting as my liaison.
What I’ve learned from this experience is that those who are quick to tell you just how well they’re going to do by you inevitably drop the ball. This is not the case when it came to Trevor Deeter of Home Star Realty. Trevor exceeded all of my expectations.
I believe most would say that buying a home is an exciting time. An event in their life that is filled with high hopes and expectation for the future ahead... however, selling a house just doesn't represent any of the aforementioned high. Buying and selling your real estate can be as unique a situation as the professionals who will represent you during this individualized and sometimes arduous process.
In addition, moving out of state adds a whole host of notable problems in itself. Trying to balance both the search and purchase of your new residence while preparing your home for sale in a timely manner for the best price, needs someone with an appropriate knowledge of the market, people skills, patience, negotiation adeptness and the ability to remove their own ego from the process to get what is best for their clients. These qualities are hard to find in a human in any profession, but real estate industry seems to make the search for "the ideal representative" tougher still.
A consumer can do what they feel is the appropriate due diligence to make the task easier on themselves as a whole by seeking referrals, as well as reading countless reviews of potential agents. Unfortunately after you've done your best, you may still end up with a realtor who is dealing with their own personal issues complete with poor negotiation skills or worst of all, they insist that they know what’s best for you and may not put your best interest before all.
Trevor Deeter is a wonderful mix of the things that make an agent "the ideal representative." He lives by an old school morality in combination with a solid work ethic. A person who'll send a handwritten thank you note - just for giving him consideration. My experiences before meeting Trevor makes me appreciate his help when it came to for the sale of my home all the more. I see big things in Trevor‘s future and consider myself quite lucky to have had him sell my home of eighteen years so that I could move on and start my second act - something that this millennial did not take for granted. Trevor got me there!
Levelheaded with invaluable instinct, Trevor knew the market - the value of my neighborhood and what made my home worth it’s list price. He wasn’t concerned about breaking records to sell the house quickly so that he can brag on Facebook that he sold the house in five days but he still sold the house in a timely manner and in the end for above list. In addition, he was also able to make recommendations and introduce me to realtors in the state which I purchased my new home.
If you are considering selling I would definitely recommend Trevor Deeter over all others. He is a rare breed in a sea of lesser competitors.
