Good prices, fast shipping. Only issue was that my order, unknown to me, had to be signed for. Would have had it shipped to work to avoid missing driver. They (US Armoment) were great. Me.... jury is out on that one!!! Oh - best price per round for my boomstick slugs
Purchased 500 rounds of 5.56 mk318 ammunition. Their price is not bad ($375 + shipping & tax), but I wanted to find out how old the ammo was before dropping that kind of money. Federal puts a headstamp on their milspec ammo indicating the year of manufacture (e.g., "FC 16" means it was manufactured in 2016), so l asked when the ammo was manufactured and told them I would buy a case if it wasn't more than five years old. Their response was polite, but avoided answering the question:
"All of our ammo is recent manufacture and does not sit long enough in our warehouses to get old. We go through a lot of it. Having said that it really does not matter unless it is stored improperly. Ammo does not have a shelf life."
I question the last sentence, but I went ahead and ordered. The ammo arrived two days later. Headstamp indicated that it was manufactured in 2016, so I'll probably expire before the ammo does (I'm 58).
Pros: I am satisfied with my purchase. Good price for recently-manufactured, hard-to-find ammo. Fast delivery. I'll probably purchase from this company again.
Cons: I am wary of any company that consistently responds defensively to on-line criticism or insults the customer who complained (see below). That's not a good business model. As my mother used to say, "If you can't say something nice . . ."
I had a very good experience with the Company when FEDEX lost part of a shipment. My phone call was answered on the second ring, I received help from Jeff and he was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The order problem was not the Company's. FEDEX lost one of several boxes, but the Company helped and offered a credit on my order if I preferred that. Hard to imagine better customer service.
Solid company. Was a little hesitent when I saw all the negative reviews online. However, after actually reading the negative reviews, I would side with the company 100%. It's not their fault people refuse to supply basic information required to process an order. My experience was great so far. I ordered at night on a weekend. The next business day they sent me my shipping number early morning. Before my morning coffee, I replied back to their email asking if they needed any further info. Kind of a dumb question considering they would have asked me in the 1st place. They responded back ASAP with a solid answer without any fake pleasantries. I actually appreciate that and look forward to doing business again. Can't beat their prices!
