Wood Floors By John

My wife and I had our Philadelphia style oak strip floors re-sanded and refinished (rooms, halls, stairs) by John in October, 2017. We found John to be professional, tidy, on time, friendly and gave very helpful advice to ensure we achieved the results we wanted. Our satin-finished floors turned out beautifully. We were very pleased and strongly recommend John. He followed-up with us to make sure we were happy and did all the work himself. We wouldn't hesitate to hire him again if we needed to, or refer him to neighbors. He clearly takes pride in his skills, knowledge and work projects. We felt lucky to have found him.

We came home from vacation to find our family room oak hardwood floor refinished by John looking awesome!!. He repaired several areas of the floor and it looks brand new. John refinished floors in my house that hadn't had professional attention for more than 20 years. One was a large family room, sitting area and kitchen. These floors are oak. The other area was a living area in an apartment. The woods are pine.

The results are amazing. The floors not only look perfect but there was absolutely no dust, no laquer on the baseboards or the walls and the corners were perfect. John used 3 coats on the pine floor and 4 coats on the oak.

John is very personable and extremely professional. A prompt response to my first call, a timely appointment for the estimate and quick scheduling. I give him my highest recommendation.

John Richard was referred by his Aunt who we had previous great service and satisfaction about her work. John is a professional and made the repairs to a floor of an old farmhouse that had been mostly under cover and had several broken and patched boards from plumbing work done between floors. Having replaced all boards lifted from the attic floor boards he sanded and finished five rooms and two stairs with three coats of a satin finish all in a week which met our plan and expectations. We would highly recommend him based on our experience. He may not be the lowest priced but certainly does great work.

When we moved into our house 6 years ago, the original owners had thick orange shag carpet in the living room and dining room. We opted to pull up the carpet as the original hardwood floors looked to be in pretty good shape. Flash forward to now, 2 kids later, lots of remodeling (i.e. drywall, new sliding glass doors put in, and an attic refinished, and it was time to finally tackle our floors. We went back and forth over just putting carpet down but ultimately we wanted to hardwood. These floors were in really really bad shape. I don't think they were ever finished so the wood just absorbed 6 years of abuse. In comes John and our floors look fantastic!!! Our 7-year-old was even able to tell how awesome they looked. I will be recommended John to anyone who is looking to get their floors refinished.
