  We used The Novel Baker for our wedding in June. We ordered a sweetheart cake for us to cut, and miscellaneous flavors of cupcakes for 150 people. Everything was perfect and tasted delicious! Alexis was so easy to work with and helped us create of vision of how we wanted our cake and cupcakes to look. A nice feature of using this baker is that she offers a complimentary (smaller) one year anniversary cake. She let us have ours early because we don't live in the area and we were visiting. We highly recommend her and we do plan on returning for goodies whenever we are in the area.

  We cannot thank Alexis and the Novel Baker team enough for all of the hard work they put into our wedding desserts. To start, we very much enjoyed our tasting with Alexis. She offers so many delicious cake and frosting flavors to choose from! We ended up ordering a smaller single tier cake along with an assortment of cupcakes. From the time of our tasting to our wedding day we had consistent communication and Alexis would answer any and all questions I threw her way. Her husband, Al, went out of his way to deliver our items to our venue which helped make our big day run smoothly. Our display table looked beautiful and is just what we pictured. My husband and I enjoyed the cake and our guests raved about all of the yummy options we had available.
  
  This isn't the first time we've had a dessert from the Novel Baker - Alexis made cake pops for our engagement, cupcakes for my bridal shower, and has made a dessert for just about every other family celebration we have had in the recent years. All of them have been absolutely incredible and I highly recommend Alexis and the Novel Baker.

  I first used Alexis for my wedding cake 3 years ago and it was absolutely fabulous. Everyone raved about it so naturally I couldn’t wait for an excuse to have her do the cake for my son’s 1st birthday party! She exceeded expectations as always. We did chocolate chip pound cake with Oreo filling and it was delicious. She happened to do my Niece’s wedding cake the day before as well so we got TWO days in a row of Novel Baker cakes, what a treat! The guests at both events again raved about how delicious the cake was and how beautiful it was. Thanks Alexis for your amazing customer service and for your beautiful and delicious works of art!

  My husband recently planned my baby shower with the Novel Baker. I have always loved everything that Alexis creates and was thrilled when I found out that she was making my baby shower cake and sweets. I loved that my husband and Alexis incorporated all of my favorite sweets and that my love for baby white owls were in so many of the items she made for me. I can’t decide if the baby owl cookies or the pink cake with the white owl with flower crown was my favorite. The detail in every delicious treat and cakes that she makes is SO incredibly beautiful and the visual experience is unforgettable.
  
  I especially loved that she made sure my go-to favorites were included which are madeleines (I think she snuck those in without my husband knowing! Of course, even those were presented on a pretty plate with fresh roses. My guests enjoyed each item on our sweet table and complimented the taste and look during the shower and even days afterward.
  
  Everything Alexis does is beautiful and delicious. The care she puts into each order we’ve placed with her is heartwarming. To see an owner, especially in times like these work so hard is a beautiful thing. My COVID shower was just fabulous because Alexis at the Novel Baker made sure it would be.

  I just love working with the Novel Baker! I recently planned a baby shower for my wife and asked the Novel Baker to create a celebration cake and sweets for our guests. I never realized planning the sweets and cakes for a shower could be so much fun.
  I sat with Alexis in the consultation area and for 30 minutes she suggested an assortment of beautiful items that I know would be delicious (and were!)
  
  I was so impressed that she asked what our nursery colors and themes were. When I told her white and pink and that my wife loved baby white owls, I couldn’t believe that she planned on creating the shower cake and cookies in the same theme.
  
  She handprinted the cookies to look like mommy and baby owls with flowers and ribbons and the platter of them was a show-stopper.
  If that wasn’t enough, the cake was a two-tier pink cake with the prettiest handprinted white owl which was just adorable and so perfect for what my wife had in mind. Alexis really did a fabulous job from beginning to end.
  
  The guests were so wowed by everything! Not only was the taste of the cookies, cake pops, and cake scrumptious but the designs of each item was so artistic and beautiful.
  
  I highly recommend the Novel Baker for making your party amazing with their wonderful cakes and sweet treats.
