Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar - Newtown

It was a night out on the town with 2 friends on a Friday night in early October. That butternut squash soup was delish👍. The harvest steak entree salad was disappointing. I expected my steak to come sliced but it was just a small square and it was not well done as I requested. it took me a few bites to recognize it because the lights were so dim, I could not see that it was not well done. The lettuce was the worst. it was a stalk of romaine lettuce and most of it was the bitter part that you do not eat so I paid $19 for steak and a little bit of lettuce I could eat. The smashed potatoes with mustard bacon dressing was delicious and I did have an alcoholic beverage which was also good. I would definitely go again but I would not order all of the same items. I could also tell as most in the industry they were short staffed because it took quite some time to place our order and receive our food as I also heard another table complain about the wait but I think they did the best they could with who they had on such a busy night. It would also be nice if more of the entrees came as a 3 course meal so you were not forced to order sides you want to try separately.

We got rained out of our initial reservation at another restaurant. We ate outside under the large overhang and had our own heater. The service was good and the food was delightful. I am not a fan of most winter squash soup, but I love their version. It is not too sweet. The flatbread and the lettuce wraps were fun.

My girlfriend and I are extremely critical about restaurants. We love to cook together, and friends say we are pretty good. So it's a great pleasure when we find a place we like. Or, as in this case, we like a lot. We had the Korean rice bowl, and the veggie burger. Both looked and tasted great. It's an attractive spot, very clean, and excellent service. It's one of the few places we've been in awhile that we can recommend.

Outstanding food and ambiance! The best risotto and scallops I have ever had in my life. The service of the staff and quality of the food is absolutely superb! I bring everyone here who visits me from out of town. This place is such a gem!

My family and I had a Saturday breakfast at Harvest.
We were served by Ben. Ben was exceptionally professional and we will definitely come back because of his service and attitude! Ben is great!
And the food was wonderful.
