  I love high rocks. Fun place for the whole family for a day outside. The rocks are a little too hard for the dog to negotiate though.

  Recently went camping at the nearby Deer Wood Campground (which BTW is within walking distance of High Rocks). The park itself is pretty enough. There's a small parking lot with a short and mostly flat walking trail that originates there, that follows along the top of the cliffs over the river and has some really pretty views. There is some good bird viewing also, and I saw (I think) a bunch of nesting vultures. Overall, the park is small and seems like it would be best for climbers, not serious hikers. It IS worth a stop for the views if you're nearby.

  Very nice park with excellent views. Not a very strenuous hike either. Has spots for rock climbing and fishing as well !

  Nice hiking trails to the cliff area where we enjoyed the day of easy to moderate climbing at gray rocks. The soothing sounds of the steam were near by. Not too well traveled the day we were there, only saw a dozen other hikers over a 4 hour period we were there.
