  With no intention of making a purchase today, our experience here at the store was better than any other. I felt like a kid in a toy store going through this camera shop. To add to that, the customer service was the best that I’ve received. Off the bat, John was very helpful in everything. He’s very knowledgeable on the products even as far as helping me with my cameras that I already own. John went as far as helping us decide on which Miranda camera, which film roll, and neck strap to purchase. He helped us load the film and even teaching us a few tips and tricks about film. Very informative, he needs a raise. We’re coming back to take a class instructed by him. Thank you!

  Excellent, very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly with great customer service.
  You'll always get good advice and a good deal, that will allow you to make the right choice the first time, without making a mistake, then regretting it. They also give you a 15 day tryout, in case you change your mind.
  You can shop with confidence on purchasing new or used, and they buy used equipment, either outright or in trade.
  Try getting that kind of personal service from a national retailer or online. I am a very satisfied customer and a happy camper.

  I've been going to New York Camera & Video for quite some time, and I send people to them if someone asks me about who can they go talk to who really know their craft. I've purchased several cameras from them, and if something were to go wrong, they also do repairs and cleaning. The employees are always friendly and very knowledgeable. I've gone to other camera stores, and didn't receive the care and attention that should be standard at any business. Everyone there is someone who actually uses the equipment they sell. Why is this important? It's important because they're speaking from experience, and they're there to make sure you get the RIGHT tools for the job, and aren't there to just to sell you something that you don't need. If you want to rent equipment, get things printed, developed, or transferred, anything dealing with photos and video, you can find it, learn about it, and get it at New York Camera & Video.

  What a fantastic store! The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. The turn around time is very fast. I needed a picture (taken with my iPhone) edited and and printed in a large custom size. They delivered a perfect result.
  
  In this digital day and age family run photography stores are few and far between, I am very lucky to live near one. The photo printed by NYCV is proudly displaced in our living room it is viewed by me and all who see it a treasured work of art.

  I purchased a Sony camera in September from John. John is very knowledgeable concerning cameras and taking pictures. I have purchased other cameras from John and some lenses too. He's always been able to help me and because of his knowledge and willingness to help, I take great pictures. He listens to what you want to do with the camera.or lens, you would like to purchase and then advises you as to which camera,or lens, would be useful for you to accomplish what you want to do. John is a great person to talk with concerning your wants.
