Shades Of Death

This is one of, if not the, most beautiful trail in the Poconos. With three waterfalls, mountain laurel walls, and a meandering stream cutting through glacial passages, it is a natural marvel. The trail is rather easy to do, and is located within Hickory Run State Park. Trail is accessible when slippery, all year, and is not suggested for those with mobility issues. The trail is out and back, and is about 2 miles or so each way.

Beautiful trail with lots of changing landscapes. Trail is marked easy but is rocky!

Great hike. Moderately difficult due to all the tree roots and slick rocks. So beautiful though. Snakes along the river with many access points to waterfalls. Really cool rock formations too. Fun for the whole family.
