(December 27, 2018, 8:54 pm)Went kayaking here. There's only a handful of parking spots near the launch area so I could see it being potentially hard to get a spot. There's some nice cliffs to look at and a little drowned forest as well as a lot of area to paddle around in...it's not the most impressive or beautiful area to kayak in but I'd go there again. The view from the top of the dam is also pretty nice.

(August 28, 2018, 6:34 am)This place is an awesome stop for anyone. I've hiked it in the winter and the views are great and I've also kayaked it during the summer. Great place to go to. This place has so many places to view.

(July 18, 2018, 6:28 pm)Nice place to visit for a day trip. Water is great for fishing or boating. Easy boat launch for powered or non-powered boats. Tree covered pinicnick areas for shade on nice summer day. The only thing is no swimming, if you could swim I would have gave it 5 stars.

(June 20, 2018, 11:26 pm)Having visited this dam multiple times it is always a surprise when you drive down the hill to find where the water level is at for that visit. This time it was full and flow through the water gates feeding the Leigh River and offered great photo opportunities. If you're a picnicker, fisher person, boater, playing 'fetch' with your dog or other type of water user you'll love the expanse of the lake behind the dam enjoying the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. Enjoy the different conditions captured with my camera and the park too.
