(December 12, 2018, 12:30 pm)If they put in new seats and maybe remodel a little, and run the movies longer. Also run during the day not just at night this would be a great theater. Otherwise I love this place friendly staff.

(October 20, 2018, 8:37 pm)This is one of only two theaters I will go to. Although small, it is nice, clean, and above all, reasonably priced, both movies and consessions. The employees are always very friendly. I definitely recommend this theater.

From the refreshment stand I purchased a bottled unsweetened PURE LEAF iced tea brewed by the Lipton company. So much better than the sickly sweet drinks or carbonated sodas proffered by the cinemas back home. Took in a matinee viewing of "The Book Club." Three senior tickets almost cost less than the $11.25 cost of one senior ticket in New York to view "Operation Finale." So when in the Poconos seek out this movie house.

(July 21, 2018, 12:51 pm)It's always a pleasure visiting Mahoning Valley Cinema! It definitely has the warm feeling of a small town theater! The staff is always so kind and helpful whether you're in person or calling in on the phone. It's also very clean... including the restrooms!
The food is just what you would expect... popcorn, candy and drinks! Which is one of the things we all love about going to the movies!
***Just so you know and you're prepared (as someone else ever so nicely pointed out) they do not accept credit/debit cards. But, it is in
NO WAY outdated or lacking in quality!
I have had plenty of experiences in movie theaters over the years... and I would most definitely rather have the experience of Mahoning Valley Cinema over any big city theater! I like to think of it this way... we'll never have to worry about lines being held up because a credit card machine isn't working properly! It most definitely helps things run more smoothly!
