  Beautiful trail! All of the trails loop back together which is nice. From the parking lot, we went right on the path into the Woodlands. This leads you to the meadow, of you have kids they will love running here. The loop we did was only a mile but we will be back!

  Peacedale Preserve is a 222 acres preserve that has woodlands and open hay fields and native grasslands. While the Preserve also includes two streams that flow into Big Elk Creek, which in turn leads to the Chesapeake Bay don't expect to be able to walk by the water.
  The only thing keeping me from giving this Preserve a "5" is: (1) the poor condition of the trail map near the parking lot which is illegible, (2) the lack of trail marking and (3) the dumping area on the northern property.
  
  The red trail takes you right into the woods and then the markers quickly end. When you get to the bottom of the hill it goes into a T intersection but lacks any markings leading the way. Down by the creek it appears that someone actually move a marker so that the trail brings you straight into the water. Note in the southern part of the Preserve you will see marker indicating that the yellow trail continues right (this is also reflected in Google Maps) but the trail does not continue there. Some of the markers have clearly been removed and one Preserve Identification sign has been shot several times.
  In the northern property across the street you will find a piles of discarded plastic tree protectors and cinder blocks.

  Easily accessible parking area. There are several trails to choose from that are all interconnected. You can stay in the meadows or meander through the woods. It's very peaceful and offers a variety of sights. Keep in mind that like most Natural Lands Trust sites there are no restrooms of any kind. There are benches in spots that you can stop and rest if you need to.
