  The Paoli Memorial Association owns the 23 acres of gravesite, memorials and parade grounds where volunteers trained for the 1812, Mexican and Civil Wars. This property adjoins the 40 acre aoli Battlefield Historical Park & Paoli Memorial Grounds owned by the Borough of Malvern.
  
  The first monument installed here is a stone monument erected in 1817 , on the burial mound of 53 American soldiers who lost their lives in the battle. On the 100th anniversary of the Battle in 1877, a larger granite obelisk was erected. The obelisk is flanked by canons recovered a century after they were hidden from the British at nearby Chester County iron forges. The oldest continuously-held Memorial Parade in America is the Malvern Memorial Parade which was first held in 1868.
  
  The Battle Field remain open land and is bordered by woods with natural trails through the woods. The park if very popular with dog owners and this is not the place to come if you are afraid of dogs as many owners let their dogs run free even though it is clearly posted dogs must be leashed.

  Nice walking trails, open space and historic signage describing the battle. Plenty of free parking.

  It definitely has a memorial sacred feel to it. You have to respect that. We came by in a time with no carnival going on, no special events, just some kids enjoying the playground with my kids while others playing tennis, joggers, dog walkers, and patriots talking pictures at the monuments. Now this park it's close to a massive park with a road through wooden cabins from that time, a church, and war remains. The walking trails there are awesome but the drive as a whole is well worth it. Recommended!
