  Just finished an awesome canoe trip down the Susquehanna River! Chris the owner is a really great guy and very helpful with suggestions for your excursion. We made the entire trip in about two hours, and that included stopping on some of the islands and having a look around.
  
  It’s extremely calm and peaceful both on the water and on the empty islands. We saw blue egrets, eagles, and a big flock of geese on the water. We didn’t actually camp on the island, but did have a look at the campsites and the empty treehouses. They are pretty rustic, but modern cots are provided for comfort.
  
  I’d highly recommend this as a great way to enjoy a day on the river. Bring a couple bottles of water and a snack, or just grab lunch after at JP’s at the launching area.

  Great experience. We went in the middle of the week in June and had the island to ourselves. Chris was very nice and helpful. He recommended the treehouse with the better view and chance to see wildlife. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking around the island ang got engaged. I would definitely stay here again.
