(August 30, 2018, 9:09 am)Loved my stay here while hiking the Appalachian trail. A real piece of history, they have an underground railroad (or Haven) for runaway slaves used during the American Civil War. It's a lovely peaceful place, with a massive porch for relaxing and drinking coffee in the early Misty morning hours as the dawn is breaking.

(July 11, 2018, 9:39 am)Not your average historic building but it actually houses AT hikers who are passing through and allows for showers and breakfast as well as a mens and women's dorm. I personally stayed for a summer camp and the view is great.

(717) 486-4108. I stayed at the hostel here in early April, before the main AT bubble came through. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again - the place was pretty clean and super interesting and Established in 2010. The Ironmaster's Mansion was built in 1829 and housed many distinguished Furnace owners.
