Di Costanza Sandwich

I've been a patron since the 1970s and I have loved those Hoagies every since then they make a supreme sandwich I'm so glad they have weathered the years and are still open even through this pandemic.

I stopped in here when I was driving tractor trailers picking up from a company down the road. I drove the whole east coast and have never found a better place to get a sandwich then here. I miss not going here cause now I live in Tennessee and not driving anymore. There's not enough stars to rate this place when used to stop in. Couldn't ask for anything on your sandwich but mayo and/or oil vinegar (lol) staying so true to the roots of Italian goodness. Haven't been in 16 yrs so I hope when I have the chance nothing has changed.

Someone from the area who happens to live in my state told me about this place. Being from the state which originated the Italian sandwich at this establishment in 1925, I just had tooo try one! The shop is located not far from I95 (love that) and there’s a parking lot. Sweet! The outside is welcoming, clean and very nice. When you step inside, if it’s crowded ask who’s in front of you too order. If it’s not, head to the far left of the counter. The place smells delicious and the restrooms are well kept. They do not put lettuce on their sandwiches which is odd if you’re from the area. For a great hoagie/sandwich it starts with bread. No problem there! The Italian roll was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside which keeps the sandwich from falling apart. Just divine... I’m giving them four stars because the prices are very vague and unclear. You get hit with the total after you have ordered and the sandwich is made. It can be a bit costly for a family of many but the quality and quantity are worth it.

This place has been around for a very long time. I believe around 1925 in Chester, Pa before they moved to the new location. The hoagies are fantastic and so are the cheese steaks and burgers. They have a very extensive selection of sodas and chips and a huge dining room. Once they get to know you at the store, they will make you feel like family. The store is very clean and there is plenty of parking in the lot, the only downside is they are a little slow at getting the food made but considering the quality it is still very worth your while to try this place if you never have.

Just read some of the articles on the cork board that describes the history of this long standing legend known as the original hoagie shop. Hand crafted by the 3rd generation master, always a delicious work of loving art. No need for lettuce, I suggest trying the roasted long hots though! Also offers the giant 2 serving roll option. Call ahead at lunch time or plan to wait for awhile. I've enjoyed well over a hundred of this must have experience!
