  I almost hate to tell anyone about this wonderful State Park...I'd like to keep it all to myself! LOL! But this place is beautiful! Very clean and extremely well maintained. Easy enjoyable walking paths too. One of my favorite places to relax! Week day visits make you feel like you are almost in your own private forest. Weekends are fun too with family activities and romantic walks. Check out the special Saturday activities throughout the year at the park. Especially music in the park on Saturdays during the summer! The lake is just right for kayaks, paddle boats or canoes. They rent them too! Enjoy a swim in the clean sparkling lake and beach area. And be sure you have hand dipped ice cream at the concession stand too! There is RV and tent camping and pets are welcome in large designated areas of the park. Enjoy!

  At the last minute, after being at a terrible private campsite, we booked online. We had a wonderful time! It was clean, beautiful and we would definitely go back again. The hosts were wonderful and helpful also. The beach and lake were great! The views were wonderful! Would highly recommend! Very family friendly!

  Had a great weekend camping in the rain! Had great sunny days to swim and raining nights to sleep. Got super quiet on Sunday night and was beautiful. Original tent site we chose was WAY too close to the sites next to it, but we're able to pick a different site with much more room and privacy.

  A quiet and serene pocket of the mountains. Perfect for hiding from the busyness of life and gathering your thoughts. I loved coming here as a kid growing up and still love stopping by when I'm in town to visit. The park centers around a small, beautiful, glass like lake. A hiking trail encircles it that only takes 20 to 40 minutes. The trail is so even tempered I'd say you could almost take a wheelchair along although it is not paved. There is another trail that goes up to an overlook on the side of the mountain for those who want a more intense hike. Lots of benches for sitting and a small beach for those who want to tan or splash in the lake. Paddle boats are available to rent and canoes but the lake it not big enough for any motorized water craft. A long time ago I went ice fishing on this lake but I'm not sure if that's still a thing or not. Cabins and spaces for campers are available. I will definitely keep coming back here and will highly recommend this to anyone in the area! Stop at the milky way on your way back down!!!!

  It was a beautiful time spent with our grandkids. It was the first time that they slept outside in a tent and they loved it. They loved the meals that we cooked on the campfire. The beach was great we couldn't get them away they were having so much fun. We ate our meal from the concession stand and the food was delicious and not a bad price. They are already wanting to know when we can go do that again. The shower/bathrooms were well maintained.
