Dr. Barnhart was great, I've got a chronic disease and switched to this practice after 7+ yrs at a practice in Hagerstown, MD that began to go down hill, very disappointing. But nervous to see a new doctor and be a patient of a new office, I left my new patient appointment today beyond content with the sweet receptionist, great Nurse and of course my new Primary Care physician, Dr. Barnhart, as well as excited and optimistic for the current and future maintenance and treatment of my health issues. It's difficult to find a great doctor let alone an entire practice that's seemingly running prime. Lucky me. First shot after leaving my previous physicians practice I landed in the swell hands of Summit Primary Care in Mercersburg and have a great doc that listened well to thoroughly understand everything health wise I've been through in the past, now and the plan for the future. He spoke to me as almost a friend rather than a quick non personable doc that obviously isn't sincerely interested in fully bettering my health and medical issues. He explained everything great, and what I liked the most was the fact that he didn't just rant and rattle off his plan without discussing it- he spoke with me like we were working together on my health and together came up with a swell plan, stuck with what worked previously, discussed two of my meds out of the 6 unknown to me, that are not well to take together and we discussed which one I benefited from more and options if need be to substitute the other medication. Receptionist and Nurses extremely efficient and kind, timing was not an issue- was very well paced unlike most practices where you have to wait longer than necessary during each step of the visit... Idk. I'm just rambling now- but also just extremely relieved and content to have a great new health care team. Thanks Mercersburg Summit Primary Care office!
Dr. Joe is the best PCP around! You won't find a more caring, understanding, wonderful, all around amazing Doctor out there! I hope he stays untill I'm long gone because I don't want to go to another PCP ever again, he truly is the very best!
