Tuscorora Summit

As the description on google maps has this across the road from The Mountain House restaurant and bar, it may mark the highest point on Cove Mountain but one can certainly not the appreciate the beauty it provides as this area is littered with radio antennas and is currently marked as a helicopter landing pad for emergency services. Need to park in bar and restaurant parking lot mentioned earlier and follow the blue blazed Tuscarora trail which can be accessed from backside of parking lot. You will immediately get a power line view of SGL 124 & 53 and towns of Cito and McConnellsburg. Travel upwards on the blue blazed trail(stay on trail as it passes through private property) to old hand glider launch pads(these are not to be trespassed on). This gives you and even better view, devoid of the power lines, of the previously described. On some days you may get lucky and catch a paraglider launching or catching the thermal updrafts on mountain side. A very picturesque and peaceful place to sit a spell and take it in.
