Lancaster Handcraft

I was blown away by the quality and workmanship of our king-sized Murphy bed. I have it in a spare bedroom that is also my office. There is nothing worse than working in a "bedroom". The Murphy bed is a beautiful addition. It is gorgeous in its own right and it allows me to have my office but still use it as a spare bedroom when needed. Every single person who sees it comments on how beautiful it is. Every person who sleeps on it raves about how comfortable it is. My mother will not stay in the other spare bedroom when she visits, she loves it that much! I HIGHLY recommend them for their workmanship, attention to detail, on-time delivery, and installation.

I don't write very many internet reviews, but I am making an exception for Landcaster Handcraft. I don't think I have ever been as pleased with any purchase I have made for my home in my entire life as I am with our custom Murphy bed from Lancaster Handcraft. We bought a queen bed with custom 32-inch side units that match the height of the bed, cherry, mission style, natural finish. We absolutely love it, and it solves so many space issues for us! We drove out to Salunga to see the showroom and meet with Andrew in person to talk about customization, but if you can't make it out there and you're worried about buying a Murphy bed without seeing one in person, don't be. The quality will exceed your expectations. We live in a NYC coop with insane rules and an inexperienced property manager who was a bit challenging to work with at first, and Hilary and Andrew bent over backward to work with the building and get them the paperwork they needed. When the installers came, they were friendly, polite, and professional, and they dealt with the building's difficult plaster-over-masonry walls with patience and skill. We had gotten conflicting information from the building staff about how the 11-foot crown moulding piece could be brought up to our apartment, since it would not fit in the elevator. Unfortunately, there turned out to be no easy way to get it up, so Nathan and Maurice carried it up 15 flights of stairs without complaint. The bed is gorgeous, extremely well-made, and works perfectly. I could not be more thrilled with the bed itself or the experience of buying it. Absolutely well worth the money.

From the first phone call to the end of the installation, this has been a great experience. I was truly surprised by the quality of the craftsmanship. This bed is not going anywhere soon. It is built to stay and withstand lots of use. Installation was great. All the floors from the front door to under the piece were covered in moving blankets. Nathan was polite, friendly, and had obviously put together many of these beds. I absolutely love the finished product and am so glad I got it. I highly recommend Lancaster Handcraft.
