  My husband and I love coming here for date nights. This is also a great place to come with friends. The food is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly.

  My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we decided to go to Checkers. It is a very romantic atmosphere, which we loved. The french onion soup is delicious, the best I have ever had! Overall, our food was delicious. It was disappointing that they were out of almost everything on the dessert menu, but things happen! The reason for 4 stars is because of the service. My mom and aunt went the week before to celebrate their 50th birthday. They raved about the service and said their server wrote a note in chocolate for them with their dessert. We did not receive great service like that, which was disappointing... We aren't afraid to spend money on good food, but for how much we spent, I would have expected the service to be excellent. Maybe we just went on an off night.

  The French onion soup was not salty, was slightly sweet. The apple salad was delightful. The bread was so good. The risotto cakes were bland. Wait staff were pleasant and all of them helped each other's tables. Lighting was soft. Tables were close together.

  We all got the chicken, and it was amazing! Lovely ambience, great service, and the food was wonderful. Loved the 1920's "speakeasy" music playing, not too loud to enjoy conversation, but loud enough to set the mood. To top things off, we mentioned that we were celebrating my new job, and they surprised us with an after-dinner sorbet for everyone! What a classy and thoughtful touch!
