I love the horses, instructors, and environment of Manito! They taught me how to do everything properly and don’t rush their riders.
I got my daughter a 1 hour lesson from Groupon as a birthday gift. The instructor was very friendly. Lesson was from 10 am-11am. We did arrive about 3 minutes late due to traffic but when we got in our vehicle to leave, my daughter said "was that really an hour?"... I checked my phone and it was only 10:50. So, a little short on the one hour time. But she did have a good time and got some horse riding experience.
By far the best care I've seen is given to the horses. The facilities are beautiful and abundant and the pastures are huge with plenty of fresh water. The horses there are never skinny, even in the winter time. They are very accommodating to your needs individually, and whatever you need done for your horse actually gets done. I've been to multiple other barns and by far, nobody can stand up to the care that is given to the horses at Manito.
My son and I finally found a great, great riding place! We have been to others and have never learned as much as we have within the first 6 months at Manito. Kelly is an amazing instructor, we feel so lucky to have found her. Her knowledge of riding and instructing is top grade. If you are looking for a comfortable, laid back atmosphere with great instruction, this is the place!
