  I've gone to Dr. Lew E. Lisses for about 8 years now, give or take (is it 10?), and there's a reason I keep going back.
  
  Originally, I called them because my insurance didn't provide vision coverage, and Crystal Vision had an awesome coupon in the paper--they still run those coupons, by the way, and they'll honor them even if you don't have a paper and just ask what the coupon is.
  
  The facility is clean. The staff is pleasant, polite, professional, friendly but not intrusive. The wait time is minimal. The doctor is competent. I don't wear glasses, but if you do, you'll probably like their wide selection of frames--and they can order others if you want. They also have specialty items available, ranging from prescription safety goggles to freakish Halloween contacts, if that's what you're hoping to find.
  
  If you do need glasses, I don't think you can get them the same day here; I'm pretty sure they send your frame and lens choices out to be prepared for you, then notify you when you can pick them up. But that doesn't seem like a huge inconvenience. Since I wear only contacts, I've never had an issue; even when they did need to order my specific lenses for me, they were able to give me a "sample" pair that easily lasted longer than it took for the rest to arrive.
  
  Most importantly, Dr. Lisses seems to do a thorough exam. He's experienced, and he knows some tricks of the business behind lens approval and sales that he's happy to share, helping you save money and protect your eyes at the same time. He has accurately predicted how my vision is likely to change over a few years' time, suggesting that he really does know his stuff. And, he really takes time to make sure he's meeting my needs, my preferences, engaging me in the decision-making process when there are choices to be made, clearly explaining what options exist.
  
  I looked online because it was easier than digging elsewhere for this telephone number so I could make an appointment today, and I didn't even check to see if anyone else in the area has a better coupon. That says a lot. :
