Check out the aviary! You can sit in rocking chairs and watch and hear the birds eating from their feeders. This is a little building just outside the main center.

What a great place to hike, sit and watch the birds or learn about the animals at the Nature Center! The owls, definitely take time to peek in at them! Talk to the staff, ask questions, it’s clear they love their jobs! It’s always a different experience each time we go! Pack a lunch, bring your pups and explore the entire area surrounding the nature center, you’ll love it! If you’re looking to spend the day with your family, then enjoy the entire metro park surrounding the area!

Always a relaxing experience, such a beautiful place! Any time I ask my 3 year old grandson where he wants to go when I am babysitting his first and only answer is the "The park, Gramma" he loves all the animals outside and inside especially the owls and the fish the hardest part is getting him to leave when we have to go home!

My mom and I love to take my niece and nephew here. They like to look at the animals and play on the giant snake and frog sculptures outside of the building. This is a great place for hiking, biking, birdwatching, and its a safe place for your kids.
