28 years of rugby, 7 years of scholarship swimming, 6 years each coaching, 11 as a Scoutmaster going into all manner of backcountry challenges have brought me face to face with dozens of sports med docs, including a couple of teams that service our winter Olympian’s. I feel qualified to point out that BJ is the best of the best. Smart, highly competent and current. And available, you can actually get an appointment when needed, which I consider important. Especially with two girls and a boy that also play rugby. Ask him about the frequent soft-tissue tear program and it’s benefits, and dont forget to get your frequent flyer card punched each visit for luxury upgrades.
Very cool doctor. Spends considerable amount of time studying your case, and gives you the right diagnosis. Had a good knowledge base of sports injuries, hence will be able to assess and try to solve the issue faster.
BJ Smith is the best physician I've ever gone to. I've sent friends and family to him and they all love him too. Clear, competent, direct, and caring. I always feel well taken care of when I've seen him. He has given me exercises that I do every day. I got a PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection that worked well and quickly on a vulnerable ankle. I like that BJ does not do surgery.
I am very impressed with Dr. Smith. He is truly a pro with the diagnostic ultrasound showing you in real time where the problems stem from. He can certainly calm a situation if needed but his regenerative treatments with PRP and Prolotherapy make his office a great choice. Nice guy too.
