  A fun pub on the Schuylkill canal. Decent beer, good reasonable food. Good service

  One of our neighborhood favorites!!
  
  Outdoor dining on the deck is nice, however smoking is permitted on the deck. If smoke is a concern to you, choose indoor seating. We went early, but more diners were seated on the deck after us who enjoyed their smokes with drinks and friends.
  
  We stayed and finished our meal waiting for the breeze to change direction. Had it occurred to us before we were seated, we would have stayed indoors. I have health issues aggravated by smoke, and just didn't think about the possibility before hand. "Too soon old, too late smart" on our part.
  
  There are two sides to every coin, I am happy the smoking diners had a place to enjoy their evening too. If the restaurant expands their outdoor dining in the future, maybe they can build seating on the other side of the building that could be a smoke-free zone. That way even more diners can enjoy al fresco dining. Everyone should enjoy Fitzwater Station!

  Great staff and good service. The building is old so the stale smoke smell is to be expected. So if you have allergies head straight for the deck. On the deck you will find a view of the canal with many ducks, turtles and fish to amuse. This is a quiet place to waist a few hours midweek.
