(July 9, 2017, 1:08 pm)Montgomery Cemetery is the final resting place of historical figure Major General Winfield Scott Hancock of Civil War fame. There are 5 Civil War Generals laid to rest here, as well as many other Civil War veterans. It's an old cemetery, no longer in operation, but cared for by the Montgomery County Historical Society. It is still a restoration in progress. A lot of stones need repaired yet. And most older stones are mostly unreadable due to weathering. But worth the visit for history people.
