I never had a bad experience until that day and haven’t had one since. I’m glad to know this problem has been resolved because I love the Y! Thank you for truly caring about your members. Terrible experience yesterday with one of the staff members. 3 members, 4 guests. All adults except for one nine year old. We were there for a good 30 minutes just swimming in the first lap lane with no problems. Until this one guy kept coming up to our group. It got to the point when I went to the manager because he would not leave us alone. He told us that we could only swim laps, which we were doing when they weren’t doing swim tests. Then he told us adults only, which we all were except for one. Then he came to us AGAIN saying elderly only. There were swim lessons on all but three lanes and I had asked if we could swim there with my younger sister. How he spoke to us was rude and extremely unprofessional. He did it to quite a few families. The manager was nice and we were able to get the guest passes refunded because it was a waste of a free guest pass. The other life guards were extremely friendly and had not been bothered by us just swimming. We weren’t loud, causing a scene, or anything like that. We were just trying to have a good time.”
