Gain entry with your two-day ticket to PMA. Pause with one of the several sketchbooks publicly available in the exhibits and browse the sketches by visitors -- or add your own! This was a gorgeous highlight of my trip to Philly.
Well worth the visit for The Gates of Hell alone. Located at the very entrance to the museum, you'll be marvelled even before entering and, inside, you'll see some of his works you can't catch in history books. Small, serene, great ambiance for a museum. Staff was a bit creepy though...I tried to ask for a price at the gift shop and was greeted with a cold "store is closed". That was at 4:30 and closing time is 5:00 pm.
Beautiful beautiful facade, with a replica of the thinker facing the street and magical-looking gardens between it and the museum. Well well worth the visit.
What a gem! Wonderful collection of sculptures that were displayed beautifully both indoors and out. Nice setting and this was with some melting residual snow. The atmosphere allows one to contemplate all the works on display. Very enjoyable.
Excellent museum and a must see. It is small but dedicated to Rodin. They host his original work in bronze, some work in plaster and some reproduction. You should attend to the tour. It is free and the guide is well motivated and highly knowledgeable. If you buy tickets for Philadelphia Museum of Art and it is valid for two days. You can use your ticket to visit Rodin Museum.

This was my favorite Rodin museum and I have been to the one in Paris. There was a lot of pieces and you could get close enough to view the detail. I have seen 5 different Burghers of Calais and this was the best because when you see it on a sunny day it looks amazing. They had a library to peruse Rodin books for children up to art enthusiasts.
